The Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Refresher is the essential 2-day course for revalidating your existing First Aid at Work qualification. Designed to refresh and update your skills, this HSE-compliant course ensures you maintain the necessary knowledge and confidence to act as an effective workplace first-aider for another three years.

- Understand and fulfill the roles and responsibilities of a first-aider.
- Conduct primary and secondary assessments in an emergency.
- Administer CPR and use an AED (Defibrillator) to current standards.
- Provide first aid for choking, unconsciousness, and proper recovery positioning.
- Manage major injuries and illnesses, including severe bleeding, fractures, suspected spinal injuries, and head injuries.
- Review the use of adrenaline auto-injectors (e.g., for anaphylaxis) and other major medical emergencies (heart attack, stroke, asthma, diabetes).
- Correctly record incidents for legal and follow-up.

- Assessment: E-assessment (multiple-choice questions) and practical skills assessments. This gives learners immediate results and offers instant retakes if necessary.

This Level 2 Refresher Course is a mandatory qualification for all current Close Protection Operatives who need to renew their SIA licence from April 2026 onwards.

- Age: Must be 18 years or older.
- English Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
- Close Protection Licence: You must currently hold a valid SIA Close Protection Licence.
- FAW Certificate Status (CRUCIAL):
- Must hold a valid or recently expired (within 3 months) Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work certificate.
- If your previous FAW certificate has expired by more than 3 months, you must take the full 3-day course again (not the Refresher).
- Physical Activity: Participants must wear comfortable clothing for floor-based activities and practical training.
- Pre-course Study: Pre-course self-study must be completed before attendance, including the FAW manual, CP Refresher Manual, and ACT online training.

- FAW Documentation: Your original Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work Certificate (or a clear copy).
- Identification (SIA Requirements): You must provide a minimum of one Group A document and two different Group B documents. Full details are in the joining instructions. Examples include:
- Group A: Valid passport (any nationality), UK photocard driving licence, or valid SIA licence.
- Group B: Utility bill (less than 3 months old), bank or building society statement (less than 3 months old), or P45/P60 statement (less than 12 months old).
