This Level 2 Top-Up Close Protection Course is essential for all current SIA-licensed Close Protection Operatives who need to renew their licence in accordance with the latest SIA requirements.
Delivered at our accredited training centre in Stratford, London, this SIA Close Protection Top-Up Training ensures operatives are up-to-date with new industry standards, including terror threat awareness, door supervision protocols, and physical intervention techniques.
This is not a refresher course—it’s a mandatory qualification for SIA licence renewal, ensuring you’re compliant with the Security Industry Authority (SIA) regulations from October 2022 onward.

Who Is This Course For?
This SIA Top-Up Close Protection Training Course is designed for existing Close Protection Licence holders whose qualification predates the new SIA requirements.

Entry Requirements:
- Learners must be 18+ years old.
- You must currently hold a valid SIA Close Protection Licence.
- Must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English.
- Must hold a valid Level 3 First Aid at Work/ECFR/FREC3 certificate (can be booked with us).
- Pre-course self-study which must be completed before attendance, including ACT online training.
- Participants must wear appropriate, comfortable clothing suitable for practical, scenario-based training.

What to Bring:
- Two recent passport-sized photos.
- One Group A identity document (e.g., passport or full UK driving licence).
- Two Group B identity documents (e.g., utility bill, bank statement, birth certificate).
- Valid Level 3 First Aid Certificate (with minimum of 12 months validity).
- ACT Awareness and ACT Security e-learning certificates (completed within the past 12 months).
- Laptop with Microsoft Word.
