
Payment Terms and Conditions using Klarna
1. General Provisions
Close Protection Academy Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Merchant" or "CPA") offers Klarna Bank AB (publ) ("Klarna") as a payment option at checkout for booking courses via our website, www.closeprotectionacademy.co.uk.
By selecting a Klarna payment method (such as Pay in 30 days, Pay in 3/4 interest-free installments, or Financing), the purchaser (hereinafter referred to as "the Learner") accepts the terms and conditions of Klarna for that specific payment plan.
2. Contractual Relationship (The Learner/Purchaser)
The Learner enters into two separate contractual relationships upon selecting Klarna:
- Contract for Goods/Services (The Course): The contract for the purchase and delivery of the training course(s) remains solely between the Learner and Close Protection Academy Ltd. This covers course content, schedule, cancellation policy, refunds related to the course, and all non-financial aspects of the service provided by CPA.
- Contract for Payment/Financing: The contract relating to the payment, credit agreement, and financing schedule is established solely between the Learner and Klarna Bank AB (publ).
3. Exclusion of Liability for Payment/Financing
Close Protection Academy Ltd. is not responsible or liable for any aspect of the financial contract between the Learner and Klarna.
- CPA acts only as the retailer selling the course and facilitating the Klarna payment option.
- All queries, disputes, complaints, or issues regarding the Learner's Klarna account, credit checks, missed payments, late fees, debt collection, or the financial terms of the payment agreement must be directed exclusively to Klarna's Customer Service.
- The Learner agrees and acknowledges that Close Protection Academy Ltd. is not liable and shall be held harmless for any damages, losses, or claims arising from the Learner's use of Klarna as a payment method, including any denial of service, breach of Klarna's terms by the Learner, or collection activities undertaken by Klarna.
4. Course Refunds and Payments
If a refund is due for a course purchase made via Klarna, Close Protection Academy Ltd. will process the refund amount back to Klarna. The arrangement for how the refund is credited to the Learner's Klarna balance or paid out to the Learner is governed entirely by the contract between the Learner and Klarna. The Learner must contact Klarna directly to confirm how a refund impacts their payment schedule.
5. Klarna's Official Terms
The Learner must read and agree to Klarna's official terms and conditions, which are made available during the checkout process and are also available on the Klarna website.
