Course Content:

• Understand the types of mechanical restraint (handcuffs).
• Understand the law and good practice guidelines in relation to the use of mechanical restraints (handcuffs).
• Understand the importance of safe working practices and how to respond to medical difficulties.
• Understand post-incident considerations and the importance of reporting.
• Be able to safely apply and remove mechanical restraints (handcuffs) to a compliant subject.
• Be able to safely apply and remove mechanical restraints (handcuffs) to a non-compliant subject.

Entry Requirements:

• Learners must be 18+ years old.
• Must hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Close Protection Licence.
• Must be able to communicate fluently in spoken and written English.
• Participants must wear appropriate, comfortable clothing suitable for practical, scenario-based training.
